Woori Yallock is a town in the Australian state of Victoria. It is located 56 kilometers (35 miles) east of Melbourne’s core business district in the Shire of Yarra Ranges local government area. The Woori Yallock Creek, which springs from the south in the Yarra Ranges near Emerald and joins the Yarra River a few kilometers north of the township, is 2 kilometers from the settlement. The area north of the township is flat with various billabongs, whilst the region south of the township is hilly to undulating.
The township is centered on the Warburton Highway and the Healesville-Koo Wee Rup Road crossroads. On the bypassed Old Warburton Road, the hotel was slightly obscured from view. In 2014, it was completely destroyed by fire. A Presbyterian church and a kindergarten are located close to the retail center, while the school (181 students in 2014) is located next to the railway line, which has been converted into a linear reserve. An oval, as well as tennis and netball courts, are part of the sports reserve.
Visitors and locals alike walk and ride the Warburton Trail through Woori Yallock, which goes along the dismantled old railway line and through the river flats. Due to the soil type and microclimate in this location, Woori Yallock is quickly becoming a very desired site for local high-end makers of premium wine, such as Mac Forbes.
